Respite Care
By Anila McDonald
Caregiving for an ill, elderly or disabled family member can be a demanding job and nobody should face it alone. Using respite care services can be very beneficial for those giving care and receiving care.
Impact On Informal Carers
Caring for a loved one often means juggling time every day between providing full time hands-on care whilst still managing your own home and work situation. For most people it is second nature, but it can become exhausting and debilitating. Eventually it can have a negative impact on the relationship and the informal carer's health. When their own health suffers, the ability to care as they would wish becomes harder to achieve.
The Break You Need
Some time away can make all the difference. To be able to take a relaxing, worry-free break or holiday gives the opportunity to revitalise and recharge the batteries. It allows the carer to come back to the role refreshed and better able to manage, so both the carer and the cared for will benefit from the period of respite.
We provide a range of live in care services, including live in respite care. We will find someone to work around any existing care plan, helping to minimise the disruption for you or your loved one.
Flexible, Tailored Support
We understand that life is unpredictable; things change, and people change along with their needs and wishes. We aim to offer a flexible service that works for everyone involved.
